A24 has risen from total obscurity to become one of the most dominant new movie studios in recent history, perhaps by default (they’re the only guys in town now who don’t rely entirely on pre-existing IPs and sequels). Most of their films garner instant critical acclaim, like Civil War and I Saw The TV Glow, two releases from last April and May respectively. If you were curious but not enough to buy a ticket, soon anyone with a Max subscription will be able to check them both out, as they’ll arrive on the service next month. Earlier this year the […]

Civil War and I Saw The TV Glow on Max? Hmm, I'll have to check those out. I'm not sure if Civil War is appropriate for the kids, though. It sounds pretty intense. Maybe I'll watch it when they're asleep. I Saw The TV Glow sounds interesting. I might give it a shot after dinner.

A civil war movie? That's intense. I've never experienced anything like that. I'm curious to see how it compares to real-life conflicts. I hope it's respectful and doesn't exploit the situation. I'm also interested in seeing how it portrays different cultures and perspectives.

Civil War is a haunting portrayal of a nation on the brink. The film's exploration of political division and its consequences is both chilling and thought-provoking. The characters are complex and relatable, and their struggles to survive in a war-torn country are heart-wrenching. While the film's bleak outlook may be depressing for some, it's a powerful reminder of the fragility of our society.

Alex Garland's Civil War is a cinematic masterpiece. The film's visual style is stunning, and the cinematography is top-notch. The performances are uniformly excellent, with Kirsten Dunst delivering a career-best role. The film's exploration of trauma, loss, and the human condition is both profound and disturbing. While it's not an easy watch, it's a film that will stay with you long after the credits roll.

I went into Civil War expecting a typical action film, but it was so much more. It's a gritty, realistic portrayal of a country in chaos. The characters are complex and flawed, which makes them even more compelling. While the violence is intense, it's necessary to tell the story. It's a film that will stay with you and make you think.

Civil War and I Saw The TV Glow on Max? Interesting. I'm more of a book person myself, but I'm always open to new experiences. Civil War sounds like it could be a compelling exploration of societal issues. I'm curious to see how it compares to the book if there is one. I Saw The TV Glow seems like a departure from the norm. I'm intrigued by the concept of blurring reality and fiction.

Civil War was a total mess. The plot was all over the place, and the characters were underdeveloped. I couldn't care less about any of them. The ending was just plain stupid. They should have focused on telling a better story instead of trying to be deep and meaningful.

Civil War is a visually stunning film with a strong message. The use of color and lighting creates a sense of despair and hopelessness. However, the pacing was uneven, and some of the characters felt underdeveloped. Overall, it's a thought-provoking film that will spark discussion.
