Terminator Zero official announced by Netflix

I’m not touching Terminator Zero with a ten-foot pole. After the abomination that was Genisys, I’m done with this franchise. They can slap an anime sticker on it all they want, but it’s still the same tired plot being milked for cash. The casting could be amazing, the visuals could be stunning, but I just don’t care anymore. They lost me at Genisys, and there’s no way I’m wasting my time on this. It’s just another desperate attempt to revive a franchise that should have stayed dead. Sorry, but hard pass for me.

I can’t believe they’re still trying to revive this franchise. It’s like they’re beating a dead horse. No amount of anime magic is going to fix what’s broken. The plot sounds like the same old rehashed time travel nonsense, and I’m not buying it. I’ve been burned too many times by this series. They can keep their anime Terminator—I’m not wasting another minute on this doomed franchise.

This news has me absolutely thrilled! The fact that Terminator Zero is being animated by the same studio that brought us the iconic Ghost in the Shell in 1995 is a massive deal. Ghost in the Shell set such a high bar for cyberpunk anime, and I’m confident that they’ll bring that same level of quality and depth to Terminator Zero. The premise of a Japanese Skynet competitor is brilliant—it feels so timely with all the AI advancements happening right now. Companies like OpenAI, Google, and Meta are in a fierce race to develop the most advanced AI, so this storyline feels incredibly relevant and realistic. Plus, the idea of AI entities competing globally adds a new layer of complexity to the Terminator universe. It’s like watching a speculative fiction of our potential near future. I can already imagine the detailed, atmospheric animation and intense action scenes. If Skynet does take over the world in the next decade, at least it will have some top-notch anime to watch. I can't wait to dive into this series!

I am beyond excited for Terminator Zero! This has to be better than the garbage Terminator movies they’ve been putting out lately. Looking at you, Dark Fate. That movie was such a disappointment, and it felt like the franchise had lost its way. But with this new anime series, especially being done by the studio behind Ghost in the Shell, I have high hopes. The animation quality, the fresh perspective, and the intriguing plot all seem like a step in the right direction. This could be the revival the Terminator series desperately needs. Fingers crossed!

I am really excited about this new take on the Terminator franchise. As a longtime fan, I’ve always thought the series had potential for expansion beyond the traditional films and TV shows. The anime format, especially with Netflix backing it, promises to deliver something unique and visually stunning.

I’ve been a bit skeptical about the direction the Terminator franchise has taken in recent years, especially after the flop of Terminator Genisys. However, the idea of an anime adaptation might be gewd

Honestly, I’m not that interested in Terminator Zero. For me, Arnold Schwarzenegger is synonymous with the Terminator franchise. His iconic portrayal of the Terminator set the standard, and it's hard to imagine the series without him. While the anime format and the new cast might bring something fresh to the table, it just doesn’t capture my excitement. Arnold’s presence and charisma are what made the original films so memorable for me. Without him, it feels like something important is missing.
