“Curtain Call” is a Korean drama series released in 2022, has 16 episodes, and can be categorized as Mystery, Historical Fiction, Romance, and Family Drama. ♦ We Must Get on the American Ship! In “Curtain Call”, it is the 1950s, and Ja Geum Soon, along with her husband and baby, are racing desperately to get on a ship. They are fleeing the area now known as North Korea. With her husband’s help, she was able to climb onboard the ship. However, her husband stopped to help a single mother get her young son onboard. When the ship started to leave, he and their baby son were unable to get onboard. Ja Geum Soon ended up in South Korea alone and on her own. Separated from her husband and son, she decided to push forward with her life. Everything she accomplished was because she had one goal in mind: to reunite with the husband son she left behind and if possible bring them to live with her. She married, had children

I appreciate how "Curtain Call" weaves historical context into the narrative. The plight of separated families during the Korean War adds depth to the story. It's not just a lighthearted romance; it sheds light on a significant chapter in Korean history.

Honestly, the plot isn't anything super groundbreaking, but man, the acting is just top-notch! Kang Ha Neul and Ha Ji Won totally steal the show as the leads, and the supporting cast is right there with them, bringing their A-game. Their performances really bring the story to life and make it so interesting to watch!"

I wasn't looking for a mind-blowing drama, and "Curtain Call" delivered exactly that. It's a predictable story with familiar tropes, but it's executed well. The romance is sweet, the family drama is heartwarming, and the overall tone is optimistic. It's a perfect drama to unwind with after a long day.

This show had me bawling like a baby! Ja Geum Soon's story is heartbreaking, but also so inspiring. You can't help but root for her dream of reuniting with her family. And the lengths she goes to...wow. Yeah, the whole fake grandson thing is a little sus, but hey, it gave us some seriously cute moments between Yoo Jae Heon and Park Se Yeon. OTP for sure! Just grab some tissues before you dive in,

I thought I knew what I was getting into - family drama, check. Romance, check. But then they threw in the whole North Korean defector plot twist and things got crazy! Is he a fake? Is he not? It kept me guessing until the very end. Plus, the historical backdrop adds a layer of depth that most K-dramas lack. Definitely recommend it if you like something a little different.

Okay, let's be real, the main reason I watched "Curtain Call" was for Kang Ha Neul. And let me tell you, he did NOT disappoint! He absolutely crushed the role of Yoo Jae Heon. Fake North Korean soldier or not, that man can rock a uniform! Plus, the way his chemistry with Ha Ji Won just sizzles on screen? Be still, my beating heart. This show is basically a love letter to Kang Ha Neul, and I'm here for it.

Can we talk about Park Se Yeon's character for a sec? Ha Ji Won is a queen, as always, but there's something so relatable about Park Se Yeon. She's strong, independent, and has a career she loves. But seeing her fall for Yoo Jae Heon, even though he's supposed to be with someone else? Ugh, second lead syndrome is hitting me hard! I just wanted everyone to be happy by the end, you know?
