The Penguin, I never expect him to get a spin off but it looks good.

The Penguin is a spin-off that I never knew I needed but now can’t wait to see. After the success of the movie, The Batman, Warner Bros decided to give Collin Farrell’s portrayal of the Penguin its own spin-off. The transformation of Collin Farrell for this role is incredible, thanks to the impressive hair and makeup work (he must be burning inside that fat suit). Lauren LeFranc (“Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”) will be the writer and showrunner of the show. The setting of the show takes place after the events of The Batman but will also delve into the origin of Oswald Cobblepot, the man we know as the Penguin. The show will explore how he rises to power on the criminal ladder of Gotham City. Here’s the 2nd trailer of The Penguin

I've been a huge fan of "The Batman" since it came out, and Colin Farrell's role as the Penguin was seriously awesome. It's cool that Warner Bros. is giving the character a spin-off. With Lauren LeFranc in charge, known for her work on "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.," I have high hopes for the series' storytelling. The idea of exploring Oswald Cobblepot’s rise to power is really interesting to me. Gotham's criminal underworld has always been a great setting for complex stories, and this show looks like it's going to dive deep into that.

So they're making a show about the Penguin clawing his way to the top of Gotham's criminal food chain?A power struggle in Gotham's underworld? Sounds like things are about to get fowl. Get it? Because Penguin... is a bird? I'll see myself out.

I am utterly amazed at the incredible transformation of Colin Farrell into the Penguin. Farrell, known for his good looks, is nearly unrecognizable in "The Batman." The prosthetics team did an outstanding job crafting a look that perfectly captured the grotesque essence of Oswald Cobblepot. The fat suit, facial prosthetics, and intricate makeup details all combined to create this truly menacing figure. This level of makeup artistry adds a whole new dimension to the character, making him extremely convincing and terrifying. The discomfort Farrell likely endured wearing all that prosthetic gear must have been significant, but his performance didn't show it. Instead, he embodied the Penguin with such ease and menace, completing the transformation impeccably. Kudos to the entire team for pulling off such a stunning and convincing portrayal.

Look, all I want is to see the Penguin waddle around, spout insults, and maybe poke someone in the eye with his umbrella. Is that too much to ask? This trailer is all about setting up a gang war, but I'm here for the quirky villain, not the generic crime drama.

The Penguin TV series is turning out to be much better than expected. It's like a mix of The Sopranos and Gotham City, with Penguin dealing with mob politics and a touch of superhero action. I'm excited to see more! The trailer leaves you wanting more and it seems like a no-brainer to have an Iceberg Lounge cameo. It would be great to have a reference to a "bat vigilante" causing trouble or a quick shot of Gordon on the GCPD scanner. Jeffrey Wright's Commissioner Gordon with a smooth voiceover narration is pure gold.I hope the show can avoid the common pitfalls of generic superhero shows and bring something truly unique. A dark, gritty crime drama with occasional reminders that it's part of the Batman universe? Yes, please! This could be a sleeper hit, and I'm looking forward to it.
