2 Korean Movies With Baffling Storylines (Or It's Just Me!)

Two (2) Korean movies that have made my list of “Most Baffling Storylines” are Haunters (2010) and P1H: The Beginning of a New World (2020). I found the plot for both of these films a tad bit obscure. But maybe it’s just me. ♦ (1) Haunters: A 2010 Korean drama movie, categorized as Action, Horror, Supernatural or Fantasy, and Crime and Mystery. “Haunters” begins with a rainy day in 1991. A woman is walking down the sidewalk making her way through the rain and a little boy is holding onto her. He must hold on and allow her to lead him because his eyes are covered with a blindfold. When they arrive home she tells him not to take off the bandages unless he needs to wash his face. Even then he must not open his eyes. He must not take the bandages off even when he is sleeping. Then the mother promised to help him get better. And he replied: “But I’m not sick.” That boy was Cho-In. Fast forward

Ugh, I totally get you on Haunters! I watched it a while back and still can't decide if I loved it or hated it. The mind control was cool, but then it just went a bit too weird with the split personality. Maybe if they'd toned it down a notch it would have worked better.

Okay, hear me out on P1H. Don't take it too seriously, and it's actually a fun popcorn flick. Sure, the plot's all over the place, but the action is cool and the whole alien saviors thing is cheesy in a good way. Plus, the soundtrack is killer! If you're looking for something to turn your brain off to and just enjoy the ride, this movie is for you.

P1H sounds hilarious! Aliens, killer drones, a talking teddy bear – what's not to love? I bet it's so bad it's good. Perfect movie night with friends and takeout

Bring on the confusion! I actually enjoy movies that make me think and piece things together. Haunters sounds like a challenge I'm willing to take. Maybe after I watch it, I can write a whole breakdown of the plot online.
