Blue Lock: The Movie -Episode Nagi- makes its world premiere today at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival in France, but you don’t have to hop a plane to see it if you can wait a few days. Crunchyroll has officially opened ticket preorders for the sports anime movie. Based on the manga series of the same name by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and Yusuke Nomura, Blue Lock follows a group of high school students who aim to reach the heights of the Japan’s Men’s National Team — but to do so they must ace the BLUE LOCK training program. The anime adaption debuted on Crunchyroll in October 2022 and currently consists of one season. This movie in particular centers around one student, Nagi Seishiro. Nagi never even considered playing soccer until his friend, Mikage Reo, discovered his hidden talent and insisted Nagi start playing.
