“Why Her?” is a 2022 Viki Original Korean drama series, with 16 episodes, categorized as a Legal Drama, Romance, Crime, and Mystery. ♦ From Dream Job to Bad Dream? In “Why Her?”, Oh Soo-Jae is on top of the world until her world gets turned upside down. Her goal is to become a partner at the prestigious TK Law Firm. Another colleague is so certain that the promotion is his that he is already bragging about it. However, the chairman of the law firm, Choi Tae-Guk, could not find a way to disqualify her so she became a partner. Perhaps she did not know it when she accepted the position but the chairman is an immoral unethical creep! Sure! He’s a lawyer but he has no qualms about doing something illegal. No sooner than she became a partner, she was assigned a very distasteful case. It involves a politician who is a presidential hopeful. His world is about to be shattered because a woman is accusing him of sexual assault.

Sounds like another K-drama trope – successful woman gets screwed over by a powerful, corrupt man. Yawn. I get that it's supposed to be a story about resilience, but come on, how original is it? Maybe if they focused less on the predictable plot and more on developing the side characters, it would be worth a watch.

OMG, Seo Hyun-jin is a queen! Literally addicted to her acting since "The Three Musketeers." And "Why Her?" is NO disappointment! Sure, the whole good-versus-evil thing might not be groundbreaking, but the way they weave the romance and suspense together is incredible. Plus, the chemistry between Seo Hyun-jin and Hwang In-yeop is off the charts! Total swoon-fest.

This drama hits hard because it tackles real issues – sexual assault, corruption, the power imbalance in the workplace. Oh Soo-jae's struggle is relatable, especially for women who've faced similar situations. It's more than just a love story; it's about fighting for what's right, even when the odds are stacked against you.

I enjoyed "Why Her?" for a light watch. It wasn't mind-blowing, but it was entertaining enough. The courtroom scenes were engaging, and the romance was sweet, even if a bit predictable. Definitely recommend it if you're looking for a K-drama with a good mix of genres.

Devoured this show in two days! The emotional rollercoaster was intense, and the cliffhangers at the end of each episode were killer. I loved the way they slowly revealed the truth about Oh Soo-jae's past and Gong Chan's hidden connection to everything. Solid drama with a satisfying ending.

"Why Her?" wasn't perfect, but it was thought-provoking. It made me question my own ideas about justice and redemption. Plus, the teacher-student dynamic between Oh Soo-jae and Gong Chan added an interesting layer to the romance. If you're looking for a K-drama that will make you think and feel, give it a try!

Okay, let's talk about the LEWKS! Seo Hyun-jin served power suits like nobody's business. Every outfit screamed "confident career woman," and I was here for it. It definitely added another layer to Oh Soo-jae's character. Plus, the contrast with her more casual professorial style later on was interesting.

"Why Her?" is one of those K-dramas that gets better with each watch. The first time around, you're caught up in the main plot. But on a rewatch, you can appreciate the subtle foreshadowing and the development of the minor characters. There's always something new to discover!
