Vaesen is a tabletop RPG from Free League based around Scandinavian folklore. You and your friends play paranormal investigators in the 19th century who happen to be somewhat paranormal themselves. You have the gift known as “the Sight” which means you can spot extradimensional phenomena that would be invisible to most people. Usually, this will take the form of horrible monsters you’ll be forced to do battle with. Vaesen was introduced to the US in 2020, and is not only available in physical form but also virtually on Foundry Virtual Tabletop. The expansion introduced last year, however, was not….until recently. The Lost Mountain Saga is an adventure book that was written by a fan. Ellinor DiLorenzo, a writer and filmmaker in New York City. ran a popular podcast where she invented her own narrative within Vaesen. Free League heard it and was impressed enough to give her a contract. It resulted in The Lost Mountain Saga which was introduced as an official product in 2023. Free League announced today you

Awesome! Lost Mountain Saga finally hits Foundry VTT! This is the Vaesen campaign I've been wanting to try. Love the whole Scandinavian folklore meets paranormal investigators vibe. Being able to play as investigators with the "Sight" sounds unique and exciting. Plus, having a pre-written campaign is a great way to jump right in without the prep work. Gotta get my group together for a Vaesen night now!

Hmm, Vaesen on Foundry VTT. Interesting. I love the concept, but getting a group together for RPGs can be tough. Wonder if this campaign can be adapted for solo play. Maybe with some DM tricks and tweaks... I'll have to do some research. Even if I can't play it right away, this is still good news for Vaesen fans.

Nice! I already have the physical Lost Mountain Saga book, but having it on Foundry VTT is tempting. The online maps and handouts would be handy at the table. Especially if my printer decides to act up again! Plus, Foundry VTT makes character creation and management a breeze. Might be worth the extra cost for the convenience.

Pre-ordered this as soon as I saw it announced! ActRaiser is one of my all-time favorite games, and the soundtrack is pure gold. Curious to see how it translates to jazz. Plus, anything with Norihiko Hibino involved is worth listening to. Gotta support these niche releases that celebrate classic video game music. Will be spinning this on vinyl while I fire up my old SNES!

Foundry VTT? More like Found-ry-Why-Bother? Tabletop RPGs are meant to be played in person, rolling dice and sharing snacks. This whole online thing feels soulless and impersonal. Give me the camaraderie of a real table any day. Besides, who needs a pre-written campaign? Half the fun is coming up with your own story!

The Lost Mountain Saga sounds intriguing! But hold on, a fan wrote this campaign and it became official? That's pretty cool. It's great that Free League is open to new ideas from the community. Maybe someday I'll create my own Vaesen campaign... Scandinavian folklore is rich with potential for dark and suspenseful stories.

Physical and digital versions? That's the best of both worlds! I can have the physical book for reference and the Foundry VTT version for online sessions with friends who live far away. Whichever way you choose to play, Vaesen sounds like a unique and atmospheric RPG experience.

The Lost Mountain Saga coming to Foundry VTT. The fusion of Scandinavian folklore with paranormal investigations in a 19th-century setting is fascinating. Ellinor DiLorenzo's work, from what I've seen on her podcast, has added a rich narrative layer that fits perfectly with the game's atmosphere. Having it on a digital platform like Foundry VTT makes it so much more accessible, especially for those of us who can't always gather in person. The inclusion of maps, diagrams, and player handouts online is a game-changer, streamlining the gameplay and keeping the immersion intact. It's an exciting time to be a Vaesen fan.

I think it's awesome that The Lost Mountain Saga is now on Foundry VTT. I'm a huge fan of digital gaming platforms because they allow people from different places to come together and play. Vaesen's setting is unique and captivating, and adding Ellinor DiLorenzo's narrative to the mix is a bonus. Her storytelling skills have already proven to resonate with the community, and now even more people can experience it. The fact that all necessary materials are included digitally makes it super convenient for both GMs and players. I can't wait to dive into this new adventure with my group.
