RIP Akira Toriyama

I feel like I've been stabbed right in the childhood because one of the legends who shaped my younger days is now gone. Akira Toriyama, the man behind anime and manga like Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball Super, Blue Dragon, and Dr. Slump, has passed away at the age of 68. He died inside his studio, doing what he loved. Dragon Ball is one of the most influential anime today, probably the reason why most shonen anime have very flashy fight scenes and even influenced Western animation in some ways. It has become so legendary that even people who have never read a Dragon Ball manga or watched a Dragon Ball anime know who Son Goku is. When Toriyama is still Alive, He is not full time writing anymore. He just give ideas to his apprentice Toyotaro. Hopefully Toyotaro can continue the legacy.

Seeing his works influence people from other cultures shows how universal Dragon Ball is. In 1984, he launched the Dragon Ball manga series, which became a billion-dollar property used for video games, anime, and movies. Aside from Dragon Ball, he is also known for creating anime like Blue Dragon and Dr. Slump. In the world of video games, he designed characters for Dragon Quest, Chrono Trigger, and Tobal No. 1. Toriyama had a unique art style that is recognizably his own. While most anime suffer from the "same face syndrome," Toriyama's character designs are unmistakably his. Apart from Toyotaro, his apprentice currently writing the Dragon Ball manga, you won't find any artist drawing like him. The cause of his death was a blood clot in his brain, occurring in the office of Big Bird Studio. The studio office thanked his fans for supporting his works for almost 45 years, and it's truly difficult to lose such a one-of-a-kind genius like him. There is only one Akira Toriyama and he is a once in a lifetime mangaka.

Until now, I had never sobbed over a celebrity's passing. Mr. Akira Toriyama, you had a truly insane influence on my upbringing. May you rest in peace. Growing up, DBZ was my favorite anime. When I was younger, I used to Kamehameha wave as loudly as possible. I purchased merchandise, watched shows with my family, and participated in games. received praise for my lanyard the other day. We are grateful for all of the fights, changes, villains, heroes, and other experiences you have given us. My heart and thoughts will always be filled with the legend of Akira Toriyama. You now possess Dragon Ball, Toyotaro, Please give honor to the legacy.

I owe this man a large part of my childhood and life. When I was younger, Dragon Ball was the precise thing that inspired me to workout, join a gym, and practice martial arts. Growing up, Goku and Vegeta taught me the importance of self-improvement, and without their influence, I wouldn't be half the person I am today, either physically or mentally. All of us have tried Super Saiyan and Kamehameha.
I am grateful for everything, Toriyama. Rest in peace, King. You are adored and will be remembered by millions.

That man had a wide-ranging impact, notably on Kishimoto and Oda. We would not have One Piece without him. Farewell to one of the best mangakas of all time, if not the best, and the guy who inspired a whole generation. Toriyama has had a significant impact on the manga and animation industries, but I can't help but wonder what will happen to "Dragon Ball" without him. The world is in sorrow. Will the quality remain the same? Or will it deviate from his original intention? Given all of the awful news, it is a question worth considering.

I've always been intrigued by the global phenomenon that is "Dragon Ball." Toriyama's ability to create such a vast universe with intricate characters and storylines is truly impressive. His passing raises questions about the future direction of the franchise and how it will continue to captivate audiences worldwide. I love this anime despite of the fact the characters are named after vegetables and underwear.

Even in the face of tragedy, I choose to believe that Toriyama's legacy will endure. His impact on pop culture is undeniable, and his creations have brought joy to millions around the globe. Let's celebrate his life and the countless memories he's given us through his work.

My heart goes out to Toriyama's family, friends, and fans during this difficult time. Losing such a creative genius leaves a void that can never be filled. Let's remember him not only for his artistic brilliance but also for the joy and wonder he brought into our lives.
