Tron: Ares Is Definitely Happening

After the previous Tron sequel, Tron Legacy, failed to generate the profits Disney desired, we feared we’d never return to the stylistic, neon-glowing computer world ever again. There was talk of a Tron 3 on occasion, but nothing seemed to really come of it. But now? Now we have photographic evidence.

To be honest... months ago, I expressed my desire that TRON 3 would never materialize because, let's be honest, Disney would undoubtedly destroy this fantastic franchise—that's all they are capable of! Disney and a large portion of Hollywood have lost my trust. I hope TRON turns out to be a good film.

I don't see how a sequel could be developed without addressing the events of Tron: Legacy. It was clear that efforts were being made to continue the story that the first proposed sequel was meant to tell. They must demonstrate to us what happened between Quorra and Sam, as well as how her presence in the real world affected it. In any case, this new film seems like an awkward, hanging limb.

Oh, this is intriguing. While Tron: Legacy had its flaws, I'm optimistic about what Tron: Ares has in store. The premise of Ares being sent into the real world on a mission sounds like a fresh take on the franchise. And with Jared Leto in the lead role, I'm curious to see how he'll bring this highly sophisticated Program to life. Count me in for another trip into the grid! it's about time! I've been eagerly awaiting another journey into the electrifying world of Tron. And with a cast lineup like that, it seems like they're really pulling out all the stops. I can't wait to see how they expand on the concept of Programs interacting with the real world. Let's hope they deliver a sequel that lives up to the legacy of the original.

Even though I really like Tron: Legacy, a Disney sequel doesn't really appeal to me. I fear I have little hope for a good movie because of their politics and disdain for beloved IPs. However, I would be happy to be proven incorrect. With this news, I'm leaning toward the negative. Tron: Legacy has its moments, but I didn't find it to be as magical as the first Tron. However, the notion of Ares making a comeback to the earth is fascinating. All I can hope for is that they manage to find the ideal mix between venturing into uncharted territory and being loyal to what originally made Tron so fantastic.
