For nearly 20 years, Zenescope Entertainment has been publishing comic books focused on female protagonists from classic fairy tales, reimagined as super-powered warriors of many realms. And I have NOT been reading them. In fact, until a few years ago when my friend and co-host of WIZARDS The Podcast Guide To Comics, Michael Canetti began singing the praises of these books, like OZ: Return of the Wicked Witch, I’d never even heard of Zenescope.

Zenescope's OZ: Return of the Wicked Witch comic book series breathes new life into the Wizard of Oz universe. The reimagined characters, such as Dorothy's magical abilities and Jack Pumpkinhead's fiery appearance, provided a new spin on beloved classics. Mombi's well-developed backstory lent depth to her role as the villain, elevating her beyond the level of a cackling witch. While fantasy adventure isn't my usual genre, Guillermo Fajardo's storytelling and artistry in this series were exceptional.

Thank goodness for the public domain, which has enabled Zenescope's creative minds to create such badass comics as OZ: Return of the Wicked Witch! Taking inspiration from L. They've taken familiar characters and elevated them to a whole new level of awesomeness in Frank Baum's original Oz novels. Dorothy as a sword-wielding royal, Jack Pumpkinhead with a fiery twist, and a formidable Mombi as the central villain are all made possible by the abundance of public domain material. This article emphasized the fantastic storytelling and captivating artwork, demonstrating that public domain works can still pique our interest in new and exciting ways.

OZ: Return of the Wicked Witch by Zenescope, which I recently discovered, exceeded my expectations. A welcome surprise was the creative reimagining of well-known Oz characters, such as Dorothy's transformation into a formidable warrior and Jack Pumpkinhead's edgy appearance. Mombi was a compelling foe because of her tragic past and ascent into villainy. Guillermo Fajardo's stunning illustrations captivated me and kept me turning the action-packed pages. Overall, a fulfilling journey through a daring and imaginative fantasy world.

OZ: Return of the Wicked Witch, a Zenescope comic book, caught me off guard with its clever twists on familiar fairy tale characters. Dorothy Gale wielding a sword and erupting with magical energy? That's a novel perspective! I was especially taken with the reimagined Jack Pumpkinhead, who resembled something out of a '80s heavy metal album cover. The writing was excellent, and the artwork by Guillermo Fajardo was outstanding. While I am not a fan of fantasy adventure, I was captivated by Mombi's tragic backstory and her transformation into a formidable villain in this series.

I had a blast to discover Zenescope's OZ: Return of the Wicked Witch as a fan of classic fairy tales. The comic's unique take on Dorothy and her magical abilities added a whole new dimension to the story. I couldn't get enough of the reimagined characters, particularly Jack Pumpkinhead's ferocity. Mombi's tragic backstory made her a compelling and multidimensional antagonist. Guillermo Fajardo's artwork beautifully captured the action and emotions.

In the world of comic books, OZ: Return of the Wicked Witch is a treasure. It's refreshing to see Dorothy and her magical adventures reimagined in such a creative way by Zenescope. I really enjoyed seeing well-known figures like Glinda with a Sailor Moon twist. Guillermo Fajardo's artwork was simply stunning and gave each panel a sense of depth and emotion. Although fantasy isn't usually my genre of choice, this series hooked me with its expertly crafted storytelling and alluring visuals.

OZ: Return of the Wicked Witch immediately captivated me. A brilliant twist was Zenescope's interpretation of well-known fairy tale characters, particularly Dorothy and her strong abilities. The reimagined Jack Pumpkinhead, who appeared to be a figure straight off a heavy metal album cover, was something I couldn't help but admire. The tragic backstory of Mombi gave the show a gripping emotional depth. This comic is a must-read for any fan of graphic novels because Guillermo Fajardo's artwork perfectly complemented the story's action-packed plot.
