Li Mei is finally playable again after years of being an NPC. The last time she is playable was back in 2006 with Mortal Kombat: Armageddon. She did appear in Mortal Kombat (2011) She appeared as NPC in Mortal Kombat X where she is a non fighting refugee. In this new Timeline, She is now an Umgadi, a warrior priestess trained to protect the royal family. Her new role is a huge improvement from the past timelines where she is a brainwashed villain, helpless refugee and irrelevant npc.

I was glad to learn that Baraka is still present in the game despite the Tarkatan race's modifications. Baraka plays a more interesting role now that they have contracted an illness that transforms them into monsters. Given the new dynamics of the tale, I'm interested to see if he'll be a friend or foe this time. It's wonderful to learn that Mileena now has a distinct plot and is not a clone. I'm interested in how the illness turns her into a monster. In this new continuity, I really hope Mileena is not a bad guy.

The reappearance of Li Mei as a selectable character is fantastic! She's back in action as an Umgadi warrior priestess after all those years as an NPC. This new persona fits her perfectly, and it's a welcome break from her previous life as a brainwashed victim and refugee. Her new character looks like a serious warrior, no more 70s disco pants and no more stripper clothes.

I'm not sure which of these designs I like best. After almost a decade, Lei Mei finally gets her own moveset. Tanya looks great with the flail and staff, and even Baraka looks fantastic with those flame swords. This game has so much potential. I really like what I'm seeing; the plot should be entertaining, and I enjoy the lore twist, particularly the new interpretation of Baraka and his people as infected humans rather than distinct monster warriors from Outworld.

It brings back so many memories to see Li Mei back in action! I loved this character when I first played Mortal Kombat: Armageddon in 2006. Her transition from a non-fighting refugee to a potent warrior priestess is amazing to watch. Tanya's devotion to Mileena is magnificent, and this new chronology has given her the limelight she so richly deserves. I like that they didn't change that component of her personality.

I like how the Tarkatans are now thought of as an illness rather than a race. I can't wait to see the narrative mode in its full. We are now learning more about Liu Kang's timeline's backstory. Nice! And I adore Li Mei and Tanya's rivalry. They all have very distinct personalities, and their abilities and movements are razor-sharp. This also provides an explanation for Tarkatans. Thus, in this timeline, it is a disease, and the Tarkatan, including Baraka, are diseases. Quite fascinating. opens up a discussion concerning Baraka's past identity and what he might have looked like in this historical period.

I sincerely hope that LIU KANG continues to serve as the new protector God of the earth from this point forward in the entire history of mk and that RAIDEN never ceases to be a human, as those fantastic characters so beloved in fighting games deserve this excellent growth, evolution, and improvement and not to be pigeonholed or stagnant. Additionally, since LIU KANG and RAIDEN matured alongside them and now have a new route to follow independently, the audience who grew up playing the mk1 of the 1990s feels more identified. Additionally, RAIDEN deserves his release, and LIU KANG deserves his prize.

It's actually pretty cool that Mileena, Baraka, and Tarkatans are suffering from an illness in the lore reboot. It makes me want to know more.
