American adaptions of Japanese properties tend to not go very well, with one exception. Robert Rodriguez and James Cameron’s Alita: Battle Angel, based on the manga series Battle Angel Alita, is the one such adaption I haven’t heard anyone say anything negative about. In fact, most people love it. The only problem is, the massive following it has today wasn’t there in 2019 when the film came out. Alita only did okay at the box office, and given how expensive it was to make, 20th Century Fox put aside all hopes for a sequel.

The first movie is only a modest success. Not a flop but it only did okay so that's why we see hesitance. for a sequel. I still do hope for a sequel because it ended in cliffhanger.

I recently finished rewatching Alita:Battle Angel, because I've been waiting to hear if there would be a sequel for years! I'm so glad to see this update, and I hope there will be more. Oh, yeah! If they produced a sequel, it would be fantastic. An influential and classic anime is Battle Angel. She served as the inspiration for Cammy in Street Fighter. It is also the only successful Manga and Anime adaptation produced by Hollywood.

I still love the movie "Alita: Battle Angel" and I hope they make a sequel now that "Avatar" has surpassed expectations by making 1.553 billion dollars worldwide in just three weeks. James Cameron, Jon Landau, and Robert Rodriguez could convince Disney to greenlight the sequel, especially since the first movie earned 405 million dollars at the box office and an additional 100 million from home video releases and streaming. The story was based on a manga that was not well-known, and there was only a small fandom before the movie came out (I was one of the fans long before the movie was made). With superhero movies losing their popularity, it would be a good time to make a sequel or turn the story into a great series. James Cameron, Robert Rodriguez, Jon Landau, and Rosa Salazar (the movie's star) have talked about the possibility of a sequel in recent interviews, without anyone bringing up the topic. I truly hope it happens, as it would make fans of "Gunnm" (the manga on which the movie is based) very happy.

Alita was undoubtedly the best movie of the year by a large margin. However, it unfortunately did not win against the Captain Marvel movie, which was deemed pointless and uninteresting, but had a lot of hype due to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It is also the best live-action adaptation of a manga or anime that I have seen, and I say this as a dedicated manga and anime fan. I really hope that a sequel to Alita will be made, and I am even more supportive of Avatar 2 because if it does well at the box office, there will be a greater chance of a sequel for Alita.

I respect James Cameron and Robert Rodriguez because I enjoyed watching them work together on Alita: Battle Angel. The film surpassed my expectations thanks to its incredible special effects and interesting plot. The possibility of a sequel excites me, and I hope it will be every bit as cool and artistically spectacular as the first. Such an underrated movie.

Alita: Battle Angel was one of the few live-action adaptations of a manga that I actually enjoyed. The film was a thrilling adventure that kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. I'm excited to hear that there might be a sequel, and I hope that it will continue to do justice to the source material while also being an entertaining movie in its own right. It's rare to find a movie that both fans and critics love, but Alita: Battle Angel managed to do just that. The film was a visual masterpiece that also had a compelling story and great characters. I'm excited to hear that there might be a sequel, and I can't wait to see where the story goes next. Here's hoping that the sequel will be just as good as the first film, if not better!

I must admit that I had never read the Alita: Battle Angel manga before the film's release. But as soon as I was done viewing it, I went out and bought the first few manga volumes to read. I'm looking forward to seeing how filmmakers continue to adapt this fascinating subject for the big screen. We can only hope that the sequel is as accurate and interesting as the first film.
