They still make console games in Japan. I mean Persona 5 is going to be on the PS4 and PS3. So maybe next year the new Rider game will be on both systems.

The reality is that the mobile market in Japan for games is way more profitable than the console one. It costs less to make (compared to a PS4 game) and you have a larger install base. So Bandai releasing their new Rider game for mobile is a smart move. Would I have preferred a console game? Hell yeah, but I think that era is over.
