Well Sakamoto isn't part of the Go-Busters crew. And it's generally the main director and writer that do the movie meaning Nakashima and Sakamoto with Fourze and whoever is on Go-Busters (Can't remember names)

They're completely separate movies with separate staff... so, yes? There's nothing odd about it at all.

Shoot... I was hoping for another feature length Sakamoto joint.

But this will be as feature length as W Forever was. Have you forgotten that the Sentai movie is about as long as an episode? And there's also the DC version later.
