One Tree Entertainment has announced the new horror feature they’re distributing, First Moon, is now available on digital and on-demand platforms.
It sucks to be turned into a werewolf at the best of times, but the young girl at the center of this story has it worse than that. A religious cult has discovered she has the curse and has abducted her. She’s now trapped in a cage awaiting whatever they believe is the cure for lycanthropy. Optimistically, maybe it’ll cure her, but more likely, it’ll kill her.
Why’s it called First Moon instead of Full Moon? Wouldn’t a full moon make more sense? Well, the young woman hasn’t turned into a wolf yet. The next full moon will be her first and the aim of the cult is either to cure or dispose of her before then. Escape is a third option but she’ll need more resources than she’s got. We’ll see what the moon provides….
First Moon stars Lauren Esposito (The Conjuring 2) and Julian Curtis (Dance Academy). Creature designs came from Emmy Award-winning SFX artist Thomas E. Surprenant, who has worked on a lot of projects including Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, The Grinch, Halloween H20, The Cat in the Hat, and more.
Watch for First Moon, available now on VOD platforms.
