Filming Wraps On Indiana Jones 5
Indiana Jones 5 has taken so long to make that some people are wondering if Harrison Ford will die before they can get around to finishing it. As of now, that’s no longer a possibility (unless they need reshoots). James Marigold, director of the movie, and Frank Marshall, producer, both confirmed yesterday that every scene has now been shot, and it’s now just a matter of finishing the VFX, which apparently takes more than a year. The release date isn’t until the summer of 2023.

Wait a minute…who is James Marigold and why isn’t the director Spielberg? Uhh, funny story…Steven was originally attached to direct, but had a falling out over the movie’s script, and passed the job to someone else, though he remains in a producing role. Is that a bad sign? Some are taking it as so.
We want to believe that Indiana Jones movies are like Star Trek’s in that they alternate between good and bad; if Raiders was good, and Temple of Doom was bad, and Last Crusade was good, and Crystal Skull was bad, then the still-untitled Indy 5 should be….GOOD, right? Numerology, don’t fail us now.
In addition to the nearly 80-year-old Ford, who’s going to be holding a whip in one arm and a cane in the other, Indiana Jones 5 stars Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Mads Mikkelsen, Thomas Kretschmann, Boyd Holbrook, Shaunette Renee Wilson, and Antonio Banderas. It will open June 30, 2023.

I watched every single Indiana Jones film, that includes Crystal Skull. I am excited to see Indie again being played by Harrison Ford. We almost got a reboot where he will be replaced by another actor.

Crystal skull wasn’t entirely bad to me so let’s hope the untitled one will be mind blowing.

Harrison Ford is a gem of an actor and I am excited to see him play Indie again and don’t think Indiana Jones can be made without him.
