We are going to see more mustard yellow filters because Tyler Rake is back! He is in for another round of extraction while making a rain of bullets.
This Netflix action film is such a smash hit for Chris Hemsworth, who acted and co-produced this film. This gunslinging flick is Hemsworth’s most successful film outside the Marvel Cinematic Universe bubble. The script is still under development, and they will start filming upon its completion. The first film was written and produced by Joe Russo and his brother Anthony. Sam Hargrave directed the first one.
The first film is about Tyler Rake. He is an SASR operator who got hired to rescue Ovi Mahajan, the son of an Indian drug lord who got kidnapped. He faced a stressful dangerous mission, with the assistance of a female Assassin Nik Khan. Fans loved the friendship formed between Tyler and Ovi, who found a better father figure with him. The movie has intense and violent action matched with heart pumping tension.
Despite mixed reactions from critics, this film is Netflix’s most-watched original film of all time. In just one month over ninety million people who sit through one hundred seventeen minutes of this action masterpiece. All that success leads to this upcoming sequel and Netflix is excited about it. This movie is also monumental for Hemsworth because this is the first film where he played the role of an Australian. It may sound like a small thing but it matters to him.
He is an Australian actor but usually plays American roles and his only non-American role is a film where he is a Norse God. He resonates with Rake more.
Hemsworth is the only cast member who is confirmed to return for the sequel. The sequel is estimated to start filming next year.
