Evolve: Ready or Not Live-Action Trailer

The wait for 2K Games and Turtle Rock Studios’ Evolve grows closer, and the marketing machine is growing larger. The latest video for the game is a new live action trailer set to the track “Ready or Not” by Scala and the Kolacny Brothers. The new video is available below.

The video features four youths playing a game of hide and seek to track their friend. Their friend is then apparently playing as a monster from the game, seemingly Goliath. Before they catch him, the young man evolves and turns his attack back on the hunters, hence the theme and title of the game. Then a video montage of the game pops up.

The video was not quite as exciting or cool as the live-action Destiny trailer from Tron: Legacy director Joseph Kosinski, but it was a fun, short little live-action clip. It does not quite make one feel as jazzed up as that Destiny trailer did. However, the Evolve video was very moody and atmospheric, like more of a dark and grim horror film.

Evolve finally drops this week. The online, co-op first-person shooter video game will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC.
