M3GAN

Eeek! This M3GAN Is Real!

What if some fool got ahold of the designs for M3GAN and recreated the doll in real life? We’d all be doomed, wouldn’t we? Fortunately, no one’s that dumb, not even Elon Musk. No, wait….someone IS! SHE’S HERE! AAAAAAAAHHH!

M3GAN was a surprise hit for Universal two years ago. Films that are dumped in January are usually there because the studio has little faith in them. And they tend to be horror films, so they all blend together and make little money. The film defied the odds, though. After everyone witnessed this mechanical killer doing TikTok dances before lunging at someone in an office building. They had to know more, and now there’s a sequel coming next year. M3GAN has made it!

Getting to the point, collectible merchandisers NECA have licensed the property to create a life-size doll, proportioned just as she would be in the film. They say the sculpt is 100% exact: it is “based on M3GAN’s on-screen appearance, duplicated from actual film-used digital files to be the most screen-accurate representation available.” From this, we learned that the doll is 55 inches tall, because that’s the size of this doll. It even has the exact same clothes, using the same type of fabric.

M3GAN

Fortunately, it’s just a doll, with no mechanical parts or chips inside. It can’t come to life. Then again, that’s what they thought about Chucky

We don’t anticipate this film will be able to amass the numbers to take over the world, though, because, at nearly $500 a doll, very few collectors will actually own one. It’s now available for preorder on NECA’s website.

The website defines the figure as

M3GAN is a marvel of artificial intelligence, a lifelike doll that’s programmed to be a child’s greatest companion and a parent’s greatest ally. Designed by Gemma, a brilliant roboticist, the doll can listen, watch and learn as it plays the role of friend and teacher, playmate and protector

This is not official right? Because her wig looks crunchy and she is not serving Elizabeth Olsen realness like the real M3gan does.

Her hair is covering her face to make sure we wont notice the lack of attention to detail.

M3GAN has really carved out her place in horror history, hasn't she? I mean, making over $181 million on a $12 million budget? That's insane! And now with the sequel on the horizon, the hype is real. As for the doll, I'm intrigued. The thought of having a lifelike M3GAN standing in my room is both exciting and slightly unnerving. And sure, the lack of makeup might bother some, but I think it gives her a more authentic vibe.

You know, I hate to rain on everyone's parade, but I gotta say, I'm pretty disappointed with this whole M3GAN doll situation. I mean, I was expecting something that really captured the essence of the character, you know? But this replica just looks... cheap. And don't even get me started on the makeup—or lack thereof. It's like they didn't even try to make it look like the one from the movie. Honestly, I think I'll pass on this one. It's just not up to par with what I was expecting. Maybe they'll come out with a better version down the line, but for now, count me out.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but that M3GAN doll replica looks nothing like the one from the movie. I mean, seriously, did they even try to capture her likeness? It just comes off as cheap and poorly made. And don't even get me started on the price! Who in their right mind would pay almost 500 bucks for this monstrosity? Definitely not me.

Well, as a proud owner of a Chucky doll myself, I can't help but be intrigued by the M3GAN replica. Sure, it might not be a spitting image of the character from the movie, but hey, neither is my Chucky doll, and we get along just fine! Besides, who knows, maybe Chucky and M3GAN will hit it off and become the best of murderous doll friends. It's worth a shot, right? Plus, having them both in my collection would definitely make for some interesting conversations. Count me in for the M3GAN doll replica—I'm all about expanding my doll family, even if they do have a penchant for terrorizing unsuspecting humans.

I've been a fan of M3GAN since the first film, so I'm super thrilled for the sequel. And what about NECA's release of a life-sized reproduction doll? Count me in!
