What We Learnt At E3
- Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will have a multiplayer mode that will allow players to raid each others bases.
- The Mother Base players can expand using the Ground Zeroes smartphone app will transfer into Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.
- The game is not open-world in the same manner as Grand Theft Auto, but players will have a lot freedom to decide their approach towards their goal or target.
- Missions in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will include destroying something, arresting someone, killing a target, recovering something and more.
- Players can build a zoo on their Mother Base.
- Some missions will have limitations – such as needing to kill a target in x amount of in-game days.
- The Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain torture scene that has been seen in trailers is necessary to build the scene for revenge in the game.
- Game director and Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima is putting a key emphasis on emotion and strong storytelling in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.
