E3 2016: PSVR Getting VR Gun
Yesterday, a game for the PlayStation VR called Farpoint was announced. As it was a shooter game, Sony noted that it was going to need a peripheral to make the shooting believable. Today, they have unveiled PS VR Aim Controller.
The controller is actually an evolution of the PS3’s Move Sharpshooter. This time though, the shooter itself has motion sensitive sensors, instead of needing to be added to a controller. What this will allow is for perfect 1-to-1 gameplaye with the PSVR. No lag or delays with the responses.
It is believed that this gun, provided it does well for Farpoint, that this shooter will be the standard for shooters under the PSVR banner, as it would allow a “natural” feel for all its games.
No other games have been announced with the peripheral, but that could change with time.
