E3 2011, the premier tradeshow for gaming is almost here, and we wanted to take this opportunity to highlight our most anticipated titles. Hit the break to view our nominees for the top 15 most anticipated titles of E3 2011, and don’t forget to let us know what you think in the comment section.
15. Lord of the Rings: War in the North
It has been a while since the market has got its grimy hands on a decent Lord of the Rings title, and even longer for a good RPG. For those unfamiliar with this title, LOTR: War in the North is a cooperative based action RPG being developed by Snowblind Studios. Snowblind Studios comes from a solid pedigree which includes Champions of Norrath and Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance, and given the quality hike from Warner Brothers; War in the North is a title we are looking forward too. You can view a trailer below.

14. Twisted Metal
Twisted Metal didn’t exactly set Sony’s E3 press conference on fire last year, and frankly isn’t the type of title that presents itself well given the type of game it is. I expect to see a healthy dose of Twisted Metal and at least Sony highlighting how it has progressed over the last year. Who doesn’t love chaotic car combat? You can view a trailer below.

13. Rage
Last year we got a taste of Rage via a live demonstration, however it will finally be playable at this year’s E3. Next to Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Rage was easily our Game of the Show last year, and it’s an understatement to say that we are just a little excited for it. You can view a trailer below.

12. Prototype 2
The original Prototype was a mixed bag for critics. On one side it was highly enjoyable from a lot of gameplay aspects, but really lacked the atmosphere that’s present from so many open world games. Prototype 2 recieves a nomination, and here’s hoping they can come out firing on all cylinders. You can view a trailer below.

11. Prey 2
Prey was an interesting and unique title when it first arrived early this generation. Human Head Studios has already raised a few eyebrows with some of the changes, and we are excited to see how these proposed gameplay changes will fit into the sequel. You can view the trailer below.

10. The Darkness 2
We are huge fans of The Darkness, and can’t wait for this highly anticipated sequel. Will people embrace the change in art style? How will Starbreeze Studios extend the gameplay to new lengths? Our hope is that some of these concerns will be eased at this year’s E3. You can view the trailer below.

Alot of those games look very boring and generic……….
Maybe thats the brain dead mainstream list.
Not mine.
I’d like to see your list. 🙂
What games do you disagree with? Also, what would you replace them with?
