Techland has officially announced that the development team members for Dying Light: The Following – Enhanced edition are going to host a live stream play session on Twitch this weekend. What will they be playing exactly? The devs will be playing the very best community created maps using the Dying Light Dev Tools. The session will begin live on Twitch.tv starting at 10:00 AM PT.
Speaking on the announcement, Dying Light community manager Michal Napora stated: “We said on many different occasions how much we enjoy playing maps created by our fans, but now the time has come to show it. There’s so much variety and ingenuity in there, even more so since we added co-op and PvP support. One more thing: we will be making select maps available on consoles, and we will play some of them this Saturday!”
An interesting wrinkle to all this is that the Dying Light developers plan to rank the best maps and release them later on to the console versions of the game. Techland plans to unveil a comprehensive list and release date for the community maps that will launch for the console versions of the game in a separate announcement.
The stream will be available at the Techland Twitch channel, twitch.tv/techland. Dying Light: The Following – Enhanced Edition arrives on February 9 for Windows PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The game will be available as a physical disc release or a digital download. Players who already have the base version of the game will be able to buy the expansion The Following individually as DLC.
