Doom Campaign Will Be 13+ Hours Depending On Difficulty
Certain games and franchises aren’t known for their length of story or depth of gameplay, and for certain titles, that’s not a bad thing. Some games are known for the quickness or simplicity, and yet no one minds. In the case of Doom, the reboot of the classic franchise that’s coming from Bethesda Softworks, not only is this title aimed to be a true modern day successor to the legendary titles before it, but it’s also going to be significantly longer than the previous ones.
In a conversation on Twitter, a fan asked the official Doom page about how long the story mode would be. To which the account replied:
“@Unreal389 The difficulty level plays a factor, but folks playing at the office average 13+ hours in the campaign”
This is significantly longer than the previous Doom games, not to mention the fact that this title will have a massive multiplayer experience, thus extending the game’s life and replay value. So a campaign longer than about 12 hours does sound pretty good so far.
This is the second reboot done by Bethesda to have a much longer single-player experience, as Wolfenstein: The New Order also had such an extension. Doom comes to Xbox One, PS4 and PC May 13th.
