Desolatium Comes To PC April 5

SOEDESCO has announced their new point-and-click horror adventure, Desolatium, will be released for PC April 5.

Over the course of this game, you play as four characters investigating the disappearance of a friend. Things start getting Lovecraftian as you discover the existence of a cult trying to bring about the end of days, and beyond that, a terrifying outer dimension full of horrors. SOEDESDCO says players will “become entangled in a tapestry of cosmic horror that challenges their sanity and compels them to question the very nature of existence itself.”

Your performance and decisions will affect the ending of the game. With a bold, high-contrast art style, and a score composed by Xabi San Martín, keyboardist of the band La Oreja de Van Gogh, Desolatium is designed to stick with you.

  • Discover the truths behind a world inspired by Lovecraft’s mythos
  • Explore stunning levels based on real-world locations in 360°
  • Take on the role of 4 different characters, each with unique mechanics and characteristics
  • Play through 14 chapters with multiple scenarios to explore and investigate

Desolatium will be released April 5 on Steam, Epic Games Store and Windows Store. (Ignore the “2023” in the title of this video; it’s a typo.)

This game seems intense! I'm a horror freak, so the Lovecraftian concept has piqued my interest. The fact that your decisions influence the outcome heightens the suspense. Furthermore, exploring real-world locales in 360° sounds like an unforgettable experience. I might have to summon some guts and give Desolatium a shot when it releases on PC next month.

I'm a sucker for horror games, especially ones that delve into cosmic horror like Lovecraft's mythos. The fact that the game promises multiple endings based on your decisions is incredibly enticing. I can already imagine myself unraveling the mysteries and facing the terrors lurking in the outer dimension.

Eh, Desolatium doesn't really catch my eye. I mean, sure, the storyline sounds okay, but the graphics seem kinda cheap, you know? I'm all about immersive visuals, and this high-contrast comic-book style just doesn't do it for me. Plus, with so many other games out there with stunning graphics, I think I'll pass on this one. But hey, to each their own, right?
