Dead Space is back to it’s roots because it is going to have a remake. During the early 2000s, the success of Resident Evil 4 caused a plethora of over-the-shoulder shooters. Dead Space is one of those games that made the over-the-shoulder camera angle in games more popular. Especially in Survivor horror and action games. EA can simply remaster the original for easy cash but they are going all the way with the teaser of their upcoming remake. The success of Resident Evil and Final Fantasy VII remakes proves there is a market with Nostalgia. It introduces the game to a new generation and gives fuzzy warm feelings for the older generations.
The Thing Behind this remake shows details on what will be the improvement and changes the make will have. They are going to use a New Generation to build this game from scratch instead of reusing assets. Dead Space remake shows a lot of promise and I can’t wait to have my grabby hands get a copy.

Despite being futuristic science fiction, this franchise is one of the most grounded and dread-causing Survivor horror games out there. I am not sure what can kind of changes they will make with this remake but it is nice to see that this franchise is not Dormant anymore. Many fans thought Dead Space is dead for not having a new game for a long time.
