Dead Island Epidemic Ceases Development
It’s been a rough time for the Dead Island series as of late. Dead Island 2 is in a limbo of sorts, as no new updates have been given since its breakaway from its developer. Leaving many to wonder if and when we’ll see it again. And now, Dead Island Epidemic, the MOBA game that was in developed, will be shutting down, as a post on Steam from the developer, Deep Silver, revealed:
“Ever since starting with the Closed Alpha, and all the way through the Closed Beta and Open Beta, we’ve received a great amount of useful criticism and encouraging feedback from our players. This has been invaluable for all the teams involved in developing the game,” the development team wrote in a post on Steam.
Over the past weeks and months we’ve been evaluating how to proceed with Dead Island Epidemic and looking towards the future for the game. We’re sad to announce today that we’ve come to the conclusion to cease further development.”
The game will close down servers at the end of the day Oct. 15th. We’ll keep track of updates on Dead Island 2, and hopefully be able to reveal more information about it soon. If there is information to reveal…
