Daymare 1994: Sandcastle is a  3rd person Survival horror  game. Now that Resident Evil 8 has gone in a different direction because Capcom wants to reinvent the series. VILLAGE uses a first-person camera and it got rid of zombies in favor of werewolves, Cyborgs, and sexy vampires.

Daymare: 1994 can fill the void of 3rd person survival horror games with zombies. This game is a sequel to Daymare: 1998. This franchise was made by a small team behind a cancelled fan remake of Resident evil 2.

Capcom stop them with a cease and disease order and Capcom ends up making real remakes of Resident evil 2 and 3. Capcom used elements of the fan remakes in the original remakes because its something the fans appreciated.

These people come to notoriety when they created a Fan remake of Resident Evil 2 after the disappointing hodgepodge Resident evil 6 is. The footages of their fan remake get a lot of attention from Social media. That fan remake just used the original voice acting of Resident evil 2 and recycled the character models of Darkside Chronicles. This made Capcom realize that there is demand for remakes of their classic games.

The experience they have from the cancelled fan came was applied for their first game which is Daymare: 1998

Fortunately, This game becomes successful enough to have a sequel and the trailer is impressive. Daymare 1994: Sandcastle is a prequel to the first game but this one has a higher budget and has more mainstream-looking graphics. This game is 100 percent crowdfunded but it looks like the money has been well spent.

It has been a long time since Resident evil had a female lead, so Kudos to Invaders because they chose to have a woman as the lead character of this game.

Daymare 1994 will be coming to PC and consoles in 2022.
