David Mozouz Teases Doppleganger Story For Gotham
One of the big surprises at the end of Season 02 of Gotham was the reveal that one of Dr. Hugo Strange’s “experiments” was making a clone of Bruce Wayne.
According to those behind the scenes, this doppleganger will indeed be a big part of Season 03 of the show which is set to air in September. David Mozouz, who will play the “two” Bruce’s, teased what the doppelganger meant for Bruce to Comicbook.com, and how unlike him he actually is:
“In terms of fun, definitely the doppelganger has been more fun to play,” he said. “I don’t want to give too much away, but this character is nothing like Bruce Wayne. The only similarity that they have is that they look shockingly like David Mazouz. Everything else about them, they think differently, they talk differently, they walk differently, they communicate differently. He’s pretty weird, the other guy.”
Mozouz also noted that it was a challenge playing the two different Bruce’s, as they were different characters and thus needed to be acted differently:
“It was hard at first,” Mazouz said. “Figuring out what to do, because I didn’t want to overdo it, but I wanted to have a strong distinction between Bruce and this other character. It was a battle figuring out how exactly to play this character, but it’s been so much fun.”
Finally, he confirmed that there will be shared scenes between them, no doubt adding to the tension this doppleganger will bring.
Gotham returns September 19th on Fox.
