Scarlet Moon is the publisher of many many video game remix albums, as well as several authentic indie game albums including the works of composer Dale North. They’ve just announced North’s latest: a follow-up to PERFECT SELECTION, Dale’s mix of material from projects he’s taken on. The first album with that title came out in 2019; Dale’s been working hard since then and has amassed enough material to put together a second.
“For a collection of miscellaneous one-offs, the first collection proved to be pretty popular,” remarks North. “I thought to myself: I have a lot more where that came from! They say variety is the spice of life and that really fits with how smaller projects help keep the work on bigger ones like full games excting and fresh. New perspectives and new collaborators help push us towards new possibilities. It’s fun to share the musical places I’ve been in these collections and have others enjoy them.”
PERFECT SELECTION Dale North vol. two contains material from across Dale’s work over the previous four years, including pieces created for the Tokyo Game Show, Puzzle & Dragons, Medusa and Man, ActionBots, and more.
