Crunchyroll’s Updated October Blu-Ray Calendar

Crunchyroll has put out an updated list of its planned physical releases for the rest of this month. It’s a packed Halloween with 16 titles slated for release, including Oddtaxi: The Complete Season which was put out yesterday.

The biggest date of the month is October 21, when the company will be putting out TEN disc sets at once, including all three seasons of Overlord, a super deluxe limited edition of Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End Season 1 Part 2, two One Piece bundles, the complete My Hero Academia Season 6 in one package, and the latest release of Robotech: The Macross Saga. We do have to point out that half of these are exclusive to Wal-Mart. Hope you have one near you!

The Frieren release is one of the more elaborate pacakges Crunchyroll has put together. It comes in an ornate box that doubles as a suitcase, and within it you get all this:

• Suitcase Gift Box
• Art Book
• 3 Art Cards
• Acrylic Standee
• Flower Luggage Tag
• 7 Kiss-cut Sticker Sheets
• 7 Shikishis

We have to highlight what the standee looks like, because it’s great:

On the Frieren Blu itself, you’ll find these features: Textless Opening and Ending Songs, a special video titled “Frieren: Journey’s Memory”, a mini anime presentation, web previews and promo videos. They can’t let all that go for cheap — the preorder price on the website is $175.98, but it could be as high as $219.98.

Crunchyrol’s full schedule is below, with links to where you can find more info and pre-order copies. If you’re looking for Spice & Wolf, that title was originally announced for October 7 but has been postponed to a later date.
