Crunchyroll won’t just be holding the usual events and panels at this month’s San Diego Comic-Con, they’ll be hosting entire concerts. Two, to be specific.
The first one features LiSA, the J-pop star who’s also the subject of a concert film that Crunchyroll has licensed for US distribution in August. You’ll have the chance to see her live before then, on Friday, July 26, at The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park. Anyone with a valid SDCC pass can attend the concert for free. LiSA’s songs have been featured in some of Crunchyroll’s most popular anime; she sung multiple themes for Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba (“homura” from Mugen Train and “Gurenge” from the anime series); My Hero Academia (“Datte Atashino Hero”), Sword Art Online (“Crossing Field”), and The Irregular at Magic High School (“Rising Hope”).

The following day, the same location will play host to the One Piece 25th Anniversary: Symphonic Voyage. On Saturday, July 27 at 7:00 PM, the 40+ piece San Diego Symphony will conduct a 90-minute performance of some of the most iconic tracks from the anime’s long history. If you get there early, you can participate in a variety of OP-themed activities that open at 5 PM, including the Gum-Gum Punch Challenge with Luffy, photo opportunities with Nami, and a playable version of Brook’s piano. Once again, anyone with an SDCC badge will be allowed in for free.
Crunchyroll will have its own booth at SDCC (#4135) but you can find more One Piece stuff at the Toei Animation booth (#3635) and the podcast stage (#4135). San Diego Comic-Con 2024 runs from July 25 through July 28.
