Broken Glass Pictures will be distributing the supernatural horror thriller Dark Distortion to VOD platforms worldwide starting tomorrow.
It’s a tale as old as the movies themselves…a group of naive friends turns to thievery, only to be punished well beyond the level of their own crime by the ones crimed against. There are a couple differences in this version, though. Usually the robbery is committed out of desperation, but in Dark Distortion the gang of thieves happen to be gorgeous adult models who could probably make that money back and then some by just standing around while someone takes their picture.
And the force of vengeance isn’t the owner of the camera they purloined, but the subject of the video inside. A child was murdered, and her angry spirit possesses the video, and by extension the camcorder…and now creepy STUFF is happening to these models. Well, that’ll teach ’em.
Dark Distortion stars April Hartman as Victoria, Ethan Vaughan as Manny, Jada Jay as Nina, Joe Walker as Jeremy, Miles Stoner as Red, and Kionna Williams as Charlotte. It was written and directed by Joseph Herrera (Under Control Productions).
“This film captures a uniquely modern horror, where attention, technology, and violence collide. Dark Distortion is disturbing, relevant, and impossible to look away from.” says Rich Wolff, the CEO of Breaking Glass Pictures. “I chose Breaking Glass Pictures to distribute my film because I felt truly seen, not just as a filmmaker, but as a person,” says director Herrera. “I wasn’t just another title in a lineup. I’m excited to continue building this relationship and bringing Dark Distortion to audiences who are ready for something raw and fearless.”
Dark Distortion will be available on VOD platforms March 3.
