Black Friday 2016: Gamestop’s Flyer
Tis the season. Gamestop has joined the crowd and released their Black Friday sale flyer early. Here’s what you’ll be able to find if you brave the crowds…
As far as consoles go, they’re doing what everyone else is doing and slashing the entry price to $250. That covers the Playstation 4 Uncharted bundle, the Gears of War 4 XBox One bundle (500 GB model), and the XBox One Minecraft bundle. They are also selling the 1 TB Gears of War 4 XBox bundle for $300.
However, Gamestop has the advantage of being able to sell used models, and the barrier to current-gen entry can be even lower if you don’t mind someone else having touched the system first. Preowned PS4s are $224.99 and preowned XBox Ones are $219.99. Last-gen units are also available: a preowned PS3 Slim will go for $119.99 and a preowned XBox 360 will sell for a mere $99.99.
As for games, their discounts depend on how new (or old) (or new but unwanted) they are: Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare’s Legacy Edition is $60, Overwatch is $35, Gears of War 4 is also $35, The Witcher 3: Complete Edition is $30, and Far Cry Primal is $25. All at the $40 mark are Battlefield 1, Titanfall 2, Mafia III, BioShock: The Collection, Civilization VI, Dragon Quest Builders, and Rise of the Tomb Raider.
$20 will get you No Man’s Sky (how the mighty have fallen), Doom, Fallout 4, Rainbow Six Siege, Dark Souls III, Mortal Kombat XL, Recore, or Just Cause 3. And at a tiny $10: Battleborn, Star Wars Battlefront’s Deluxe Edition, Mad Max, Dragon Quest Heroes, Ratchet & Clank, and Batman: Arkham Knight.
The remaining merchants should be revealing their Black Friday prices soon. We will keep you posted when it happens.
