Turns out that the big reveal that was hinted at by Bethesda yesterday is a new trailer for Dishonored. The setting looks unique and foreboding, and if the titles gameplay gets anywhere near that of the trailers action scenes, then I think we’re all in for quite the treat. I’m not going to go into a bunch of detail, just hurry up and watch the trailer already!

Still kinda scratching my head as to what was going on in that trailer, but it looked shiny 🙂 Is this a new IP? Probably support it if that’s the case, plus it is Bethesda as well…

It’s only being published by Bethesda, but it is indeed a new IP. I believe that one of the lead designers on the game worked on Deus Ex and Thief, so the game has a good pedigree to work with.
I have to correct you Taylor. Bethesda owns this IP, because Arkane was acquired by Bethsoft during the id transaction. Not many people know that.
It’s kinda semantics in my opinion. They might own the IP, just like they own Fallout now. But that doesn’t mean that they developed Fallout: New Vegas. Whether the IP or studio are owned by Bethesda is a moot point, as their game development branch has nothing to do with the project at all, as far as I’ve read.
The atmosphere is like electro-punk as opposed to steam-punk it looks really cool, can’t wait.
