DICE is making some changes to the Battlefield 4 gameplay experience. In a blog post on the game’s official website, there will be changes to the games user interface to improve the overall gameplay experience that will make Battlefield 4 even more intuitive and centralized. As a result, Battlefield will have an altered UI that will improve the experience for players, and they will get relevant content brought to their attention in a much quicker fashion.
The UI changes will first be incorporated to Battlefield 4. However, DICE confirmed these changes will be put in place for Battlefield Hardline and Battlefield 1 due out later this year. Per the blog post:
The new Battlefield user interface is designed to improve the experience of playing with friends and to bring relevant content to your attention.
Now, you’re able to create a Squad before you actually enter into a game. Being able to join up with your friends and join into a game together makes it a much smoother experience, and helps make sure you’re able to spawn on your buddies as soon as you’re in the game.
Other new changes with the upcoming update include the “recommendation engine.” This will allow gamers to recommend new maps and modes for the game.
The new user interface is now available in its beta format for Battlefield 4. It will then be released for Battlefield 1 and later for Battlefield Hardline. Battlefield Hardline is due out on October 21 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC.
