Battlefield 1 Livestream Will Showcase 64-Player Battle
DICE and Electronic Arts announced some new details for Battlefield 1 and the first-ever livestream for the game that will be a part of Electronic Arts’ pre-E3 event, EA Play, later this month. Per the official Battlefield website, the official livestream is set for Sunday, June 12 at 02:00 pm PST in Los Angeles, California.
The livestream will be held at EA Play. However, the most exciting aspect is that the stream will showcase gameplay for Battlefield Squads, which features 64 players going into battle in Battlefield 1. Members of the Battlefield community of Battlefield Friends, NOOB and StoneMountain64, will be serving as team captains for the livestream event. Their teams will consist of well-known YouTube gamers and Twitch streamers, along with some special guests.
Battlefield 1 will be a nice change of pace for the franchise, as it takes the setting to World War I/The Great War.
EA also confirmed a contest for fans to possibly win a trip to EA Play. The contest and rules for the contest are at this link. Battlefield 1 will launch on October 21. The game will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC. A beta session will be held sometime ahead of the October release. Gamers who want to take part int he beta have to sign up to become a Battlefield Community Insider here.
