Batman Arkham VR: A Look Behind the Scenes
This October, one of the interesting virtual reality experiences that will be available for the PlayStation VR is the Batman experience, Batman Arkham VR. PlayStation and Rocksteady Studios revealed a new behind-the-scenes video for the VR experience this week, which you can check out the in player below.
The video features a look at some new footage for the game, along with some of the new gadgets players will have access to as Batman throughout the game. In the game, players will actually get the experience of putting on Batman’s cowl and of course the Batsuit. It looks like players will be able to use the motion controllers to use the Bat-claw to get around in the environment throughout the game. How well that mechanic will actually work in the experience should be interesting.
The storyline is set within the Batman Arkham VR series. So after it seemed that Rocksteady Studios was going to be done with Batman after Arkham Knight, it’s nice to see they are doing at least one more experience with the Batman franchise before the developer moves on to other projects.
Batman Arkham VR is due out this October for $19.99. It will be available exclusively for the PlayStation VR, which launches on October 13. Here’s an official synopsis:
