Earlier this week, Rocksteady and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment dropped the Bat-Family Skin and 1989 Movie Batmobile DLC packs for Batman Arkham Knight. However, the new August update trailer for the game offered a first look at another major DLC addition to the hit sequel. The Tumbler Batmobile, previously featured in Chris Nolan’s seminal Batman movie trilogy will be coming to the game next. In addition, Warner Bros. Interactive announced the September 2015 DLC schedule release for Arkham Knight and what fans can expect.
The new DLC content arriving in September includes the Tumbler Batmobile skin, new themed Batmobile tracks, more AR challenges and a new story pack featuring Nightwing. You can check out the full content list below:
- Crime Fighter Challenge Pack #1 (Sept. 1): Receive 6 AR challenges for Batman, Nightwing, Robin and Catwoman. This expansive challenge pack allows focused training in Freeflow Combat and Invisible Predator stealth incursion.
- GCPD Lockdown (Later in Sept.): Set after the events of Arkham Knight, play as Nightwing to stop the Penguin from breaking out of the Gotham City Police Department in this thrilling story pack.
- 2008 Tumbler Batmobile Pack (Later in Sept.): Inspired by the 2008 movie ‘The Dark Knight’, intimidate your foes with the Tumbler Batmobile and race through two themed tracks
- Original Arkham Batman Skin (Later in Sept.): Fight the war against Gotham City with the original Arkham Asylum Batman costume.
The Nightwing story pack for GCPD Lockdown sounds similar to the previously released DLC featuring Harley Quinn and the Red Hood (aka Jason Todd). With the release of the 1989 Movie Batmobile pack, it is good to know that the Tumbler will be available in free roam for the game, provided all the drones have been destroyed during the story mode.
You can check out the first look of the Tumbler from the August Update trailer and a preview image of the vehicle in the game below. Batman Arkham Knight is available now for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
