Batman Arkham Knight: First Look at Season of Infamy
Rocksteady Studios and Warner Bros. Interactive have released a new edition of Batman Arkham Insider. The new video features the first look at the game’s major expansion, Season of Infamy. There’s also a look at the Dark Knight Batman skin. You can check out the new Arkham Insider video in the player below.
The video features a look at one of the Most Wanted missions with “Shadow War,” which appears to be an investigation into Batman’s old nemesis Ra’s al Ghul. It looks like Ra’s is back, despite having apparently perished during Batman: Arkham City. However, fans will have noticed that if they return to where Ra’s al Ghul’s dead body fell in the game, it was taken away, and only his sword remained. In addition, it looks like for this mission, players will finally be able to enter and explore the Elliott Memorial Hospital (named after Dr. Thomas Elliott aka Batman villain Hush). In addition, one of the ninja enemy types has a new attack to use against Batman called the “Fury Attack.”
There’s also some footage of the new Most Wanted missions involving The Mad Hatter, Killer Croc and Mr. Freeze for Season of Infamy. There’s a nice and detailed look at Killer Croc’s new design for the show. Croc was only briefly glimpsed during the core Batman Arkham Knight game, and he really had no active involvement with the story at all. So it’s nice that Rocksteady is going to get some actual use out of that new Killer Croc design. In addition, it looks like the GCPD building will have some new rooms and areas to explore as well.
Finally, the video has a nice look at the new Batman skin based on the costume from Christopher Nolan’s 2008 movie, The Dark Knight. There’s also some footage of the Batman: Arkham Asylum Batmobile, which will finally be playable with the next December DLC update for the game.
Batman Arkham Knight: Season of Infamy, The Dark Knight Batsuit skin and the Arkham Asylum Batmobile will all be part of December’s DLC update for Batman Arkham Knight. The game is available now for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
