Awesome Games Done Quick 2026 Schedule Released

It feels a bit early to be thinking about something like this, but Awesome Games Done Quick typically runs its week of charity speedruns during the first full week of the year, and one quick glance at the calendar says we’ve already burned through 2/3 of November, so….guess it really is time. The full schedule of speedruns has been finalized.

AGDQ benefits, as always, the Prevent Cancer Foundation — a disease that just took the life of gaming industry pioneer Rebecca Heineman. That’s the last straw — it’s gotta be stopped! As you watch the stream, you can donate to PCF and each tax-deductible donation will apply to something, whether it’s a vote on what should happen in the next run, an entry to win a prize, or a goal to unlock an extra performance.

As for the games this year, GDQ’s own bullet points say to expect these:

  • Super Mario Sunshine – Any% on Gamecube by inkstar

  • Splatoon – Any% Race on Wii U by DG and LonTr0
  • Once Upon A Katamari – Any% on PC by Game1t
  • Silent Hill ƒ – New Game Story on PC by Captain Ezekiel
  • Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 – Any% Expert Glitchless Race on PC by Bdud5 and Z3RO1337
  • Hades II – All Weapons (Alternating Routes) on PC by BehemothSteve
  • Pokemon Emerald – Pick-My-Main on GBA by adef

But a full week packs in way more than that. There’s also Spyro 2, Splatoon, Split Fiction, Luigi’s Mansion, Sonic Adventure, Crash 3, Kirby and the Forgotten Land, A Hat In Time, Metroid Prime 3, the MGS3 remake, Psychonauts 2, F-Zero GX, Donkey Kong 64 Randomizer, Twilight Princess, Stellar Blade, Final Fantasy X, Ocarina of Time AND Majora’s Mask blindfolded at once, several mystery games, and the infamous Awful Block, leading with the Land Before Time game. Over 100 speedruns this year!

Awesome Games Done Quick 2026 will run from January 4-10 at the Wyndham Grand Pittsburgh Downtown in Pittsburgh, PA, and broadcast live on the official Games Done Quick Twitch channel.

Looks like Awesome Games Done Quick is coming up, and it's never too early to get excited about speedruns for a good cause. The lineup this year seems pretty solid, with games like Super Mario Sunshine, Splatoon, Once Upon A Katamari, and Silent Hill ƒ making an appearance. It's always great to see the gaming community rallying together to support charities like the Prevent Cancer Foundation.

I'll definitely be tuning in to watch some epic speedruns and maybe even donate to contribute to the cause. It's amazing how gaming can bring people together for something positive like this. Who else is planning to watch AGDQ and support a good cause while enjoying some speedy gameplay? Let's chat about the games we're most excited to see and share our favorite past AGDQ moments! 🎮

I like how GDQ always mixes very serious games with some silly ones. The Awful Block and Land Before Time game are going to be funny to watch, and I think that balance keeps the event lighthearted. At the same time, seeing Silent Hill ƒ and Stellar Blade on the list gives me something tense and thrilling. It shows that the organizers really consider audience variety. Also, having races like Splatoon Any% and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 adds a competitive edge that makes the streams more engaging. I plan to donate and vote for extra challenges because it is fun to feel like a part of the event.

Honestly, I am overwhelmed by the amount of content. Over 100 runs in seven days feels like too much to follow live. I think I will focus on watching a few favorites and catch others in highlights. Games like Hades II with All Weapons routes and Metroid Prime 3 will need serious attention to understand the strategies. I respect the runners a lot—they spend months practicing these runs for the community. The dedication is inspiring. I also think supporting PCF adds a meaningful purpose to watching, and I will make a donation myself.

The charity aspect really matters to me. Losing someone like Rebecca Heineman reminds us why supporting PCF is so important. AGDQ is not only about speedrunning but also about raising awareness and funds for cancer research. It is impressive how they keep this balance of entertainment and charity. I plan to watch the entire week if I can. It is motivating to see a community come together for a good cause while enjoying games they love.
