“Our Sticky Love” is a 2026 Netflix Original Korean drama with 12 episodes, categorized as a Romantic Comedy (Rom-Com) with Crime and Mystery elements.
- Memorable Quote: “If a person’s life had its own genre, what genre would your life be?”
SUMMARY: A prosecutor loses her memory after a dangerous incident, and when she wakes up, a man appears claiming to be her boyfriend, saying they live together in a rural village. She must rebuild her life, and hopefully regain her memory. How did she end up in a hospital so badly injured that she had no fingerprints to identify her?
♦ She Has No Fingerprints
In “Our Sticky Love”, Jang Tae-Ha is a former youth boxing champion → turned thug/gangster → returned to rebuild his life as a small-town boxing coach. Go Eun-Sae is an ambitious prosecutor working on an anti-corruption case. The crime boss needs to get the evidence and information she has about his operations, so he captures and tortures her. He believes he’s gotten everything she had, and he assigned one of his boys to dispose of the body. Jang Tae-Ha is one of “his boys”.
Jang Tae-Ha wants to leave the criminal organization. He agreed to this “one last job”, i.e., to get rid of the prosecutor’s body. She had been brutally tortured, including having her fingers burned so that her body, if found, could not be identified by fingerprints. But he recognized her as the woman who had also saved his life when he was in a foreign country.
♦ “He says he’s my boyfriend… but I don’t even know who I am.”
Go Eun-Sae was also his first love, although she didn’t know it. She had only met him once and didn’t even know his name. Even though Go Eun-Sae had been badly beaten, she was still alive. When Jang Tae-Ha saw her face, there was no way he was going to let her die. Since his boss trusted him to personally handle the disposal of her body, he secretly had her taken to a hospital for treatment.
When she awakens in the hospital with memory loss, she’s told that she can choose. Either be released to her boyfriend or be sent to a government institution. She chose the boyfriend even though: “He says he’s my boyfriend… but I don’t even know who I am.”
Compared with the dangerous world where he once worked, the small town taffy village seems like an unlikely place for trouble to find Jang Tae-Ha. Nevertheless, when you are a part of the criminal underworld, it’s not so easy to put everything behind you. It’s even more difficult when you’re trying to protect the one you love, and the criminals in your past life are after her. Go Eun-sae is determined to reconstruct her identity. The doctor in the hospital where she was treated mentioned ~ without knowing her background ~ that she was good at putting together a “sticky situation”.

My personal rating is the same as MDL.
“Our Sticky Love” was deliciously “sticky”. This is one of those “don’t judge a K-drama by its title” series. Netflix dropped all 12 episodes so a viewer could binge. This K-drama has the classic rom-com setup (amnesia, cohabitation, first love). But I thought it started with a really interesting question. “If a person’s life had its own genre, what genre would your life be?”
Me? I can’t answer that because I’m pretty sure there is no genre for Dull and Boring. LOL. But I’ll bet a lot of other people could answer this question. Can you?
