Controversial Rockstar game Manhunt is set to be added to the PS2 classics library on the PlayStation Store on May 14th in North America and May 15th in Europe. You play as James Earl Cash, an inmate on death row who is forced to participate in a game of kill-or-be-killed orchestrated by the psychotic Lionel Starkweather. Among the Sleep is a crowdfunded first-person survival horror game in the vein of Amnesia: The Dark Descent and Slender: The Eight Pages created by indie developers Krillbite Studio, who have previously worked on a short experimental game called The Plan. The main difference between this and other survival horror titles is that you take control of a two year old toddler who wakes up in the middle of the night to find mysterious things going on in the house. Throughout the game you will explore different areas with the help of your talking teddy bear sidekick, who will guide you as progress is made. The objective of the game is to use your surrounding environment in order to hide and escape from the shadowy figures rather than trying to fight them. As you progress, the borders between reality and fantasy become blurred due to the overactive imagination of a two year child. Famed creator of the Metal Gear series Hideo Kojima has announced the cancellation of the Zone of the Enders sequel. Kojima made the announcement via his online radio show. It is thought that the decision was made due to poor sales of the Zone of the Enders HD collection, which featured the first two Zone of the Enders games remastered into HD. One of the main issues that the HD collection faced was the boost in framerate from 30 framerates to 60, which still was not enough to compliment the high intense action featured in Zone of the Enders. Hideo Kojima has apologised for the poor quality and the team are currently working on a patch to fix these issues for the Playstation 3. There are currently no plans for a Xbox 360 patch. It seems unlikely that the sequel will be developed anytime soon, especially with Hideo Kojima breaking up the Zone of the Enders Team. There still maybe hope for a sequel however, as Kojima had said he would re-evaluate
After nearly two years since its original release date in Japan, The latest in Namco Bandai’s Tales series of games, Tales of Xillia is finally making its way to the West; due to be released in North America on August 6th and in Europe on August 9th with both a Standard and Collector’s Edition. Just like Tales of Graces F before it, Tales of Xillia is one of the few traditional JRPG games left. The battle system is comprised of chaining together regular attacks along with Artes which consume AC (Assault Counter) points. It will also feature a new Link system which allows two characters to attack and use powerful dual-character Link Artes. As with all the other games in the series battles are activated by running into enemies visible on the map, once you have commenced battle your party members will fight in real-time. Tales of Xillia is set in the world of Liese Maxia, where humans, spirits and monsters all live together in peace. As opposed to a single protagonist, this game will feature two
