Attention All Straw Hats: One Piece Day Is Coming

What’s the biggest holiday in July? Independence Day, or the more important one? Bandai Namco and Toei Animation are hosting One Piece Day live from Japan next month, and thanks to the magic of Internet streaming, anyone can attend.

The title is actually misleading: It’s One Piece DAYS. Bandai and Toei will be holding the event over two consecutive evenings — July 22 and 23. Special guests will include:

Mayumi Tanaka (CV: Monkey D. Luffy)

Kazuya Nakai (CV: Roronoa Zoro)

Akemi Okamura (CV: Nami)

Kappei Yamaguchi (CV: Usopp)

Hiroaki Hirata (CV: Sanji)

Ikue Ōtani (CV: Chopper)

Yuriko Yamaguchi (CV: Nico Robin)

Kazuki Yao (CV: Franky)

Chō (CV: Brook)

Katsuhisa Hōki (CV: Jinbe)

Kaori Nazuka (CV: Uta)

Shūichi Ikeda (CV: Shanks)

You’ll be able to catch this broadcast live at 1:50 AM Pacific (admittedly, not many Americans will be awake for it). It will be shown in Japanese at https://youtu.be/LFw5vPIZmiM and in English at https://youtu.be/XWmGiQqcOII.

The second day’s broadcast will be a One Piece celebration that’ll include a live performance by Hiroshi Kitadani, never-before-seen insider content about the production of One Piece figures, a showing of the rare “One Piece – Take Down! The Pirate Ganzak!”, which was directed by Gorō Taniguchi (he also directed the upcoming movie), trivia, competitions and more. It will also be much easier to catch this broadcast live as it takes place around 6 PM Pacific. The Japanese and English links are https://youtu.be/g0jzapfM3ZE and https://youtu.be/xiH0pqg1TyI respectively.

One Piece Day takes place on July 22 and 23.
