Batman: Arkham Origins is coming to iOS and it’s free-to-play
It has already been announced that the upcoming Batman prequel, Batman: Arkham Origins, is coming to PS Vita and 3DS (as a sort of Metroidvania style sidescroller with Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate). Now however, it has been announced that yet another spin-off title to the soon to be released game is coming to iOS and Android. Make no mistake however, this will not be a port of Blackgate, this will in fact be an original game. It is currently in development by the esteemed Mortal Kombat team at NetherRealm Studio, whose previous mobile efforts include the mobile version of Injustice: Gods Among Us as well as the iOS beat-’em-up, Batman: Arkham City Lockdown.
The game promises “quality gameplay”, “stunning graphics”, and a free-to-play business model. It will be released within Batman: Arkham Origin’s console launch window for iOS, with an Android version to follow shortly.
Batman: Arkham Origins is set for an October 25th release on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U, and PC.
