Nosebleed Interactive, a UK-based game development studio, had a hit with Arcade Paradise, a slick retro-styled love letter to the arcade age. Half arcade game collection and half management sim, your job is to transform an abandoned landromat into a thriving arcade business, and while you’re at it, enjoy some quality gaming on company time. This year Nosebleed introduced a VR version of Arcade Paradise on Meta Quest, and that version will be launching on all VR devices soon.
Soon enough that the soundtrack album is now out. It’s called Arcade Paradise VR: Out Of This World and includes tunes from a variety of artists in a mixture of genres, like ’90s pop, rock, breakbeat, techno, drum ‘n’ bass, and more. The album was produced by Wired Productions and Black Razor Records with talent like Matthew Bowden, Kieron Pepper, Tia Ice and others.
“Working with Kieron on the first Arcade Paradise soundtrack led to the beginning of Black Razor Records,” says Wired Productions co-founder and Managing Director Leo Zullo. “Great music made by passionate and creative souls, who are up and coming and ready to take on the world, is an inspiring enviornment to be involved in. When we needed a new soundtrack to Arcade Paradise VR, which needed an alternative reality spin, it was a simple choice to get Kieron and the original crew back for this, including Stu Brootal (aka Ivor Horde). The results are just as great ,adn really refelct the music of the time, whilst having their own identity. We love it and hope fans will too.”
You can get the Arcade Paradise VR: Out Of This World album today through the storefronts linked here. The game itself will be released for PS VR2 and PC VR on August 8.
