Aquaman Film Is Difficult To Shoot
Aquaman is going to be making his true live-action debut in the upcoming Justice League, but after that, he’ll be getting his own film in 2018, directed by James Wan. However, due to the size, scale, and setting of the film, it’s been a very complicated shoot. Mainly because they’re trying to be as “real” as they can in regards to shooting in real water and avoiding CGI as much as they can.
Director James Wan confessed these challenges to The Hollywood Reporter,
“It’s a very technically challenging shoot to be on. Working with water, and even the dry-for-wet sequences are very complex… Our equivalent of two people sitting around chatting in the underwater world is super complicated. You have to think about CG with the hair, and how their clothing moves, how are they floating, what kind of rig we put them on and all that stuff.”
It was Wan’s request to use the real actors and forgot much CGI effects, and he noted, “That just makes it very difficult and time-sucking and time-challenging to do all of this,” he said. “So it’s not an easy shoot — but hopefully it will pay off in spades down the line.”
Aquaman is set for arrival December 21st, 2018.

I imagine how hard it's really (and expensive!) to make a movie based on that theme. But I hope the result is very good.
Plus, I'm looking forward to seeing Nicole Kidman in this movie. 😀

This is really starting to turn into a year for super heroes though I really have no complaints. Might not see it though it does sound interesting to those who love super heroes.
