I'm a major fan of "Star Trek: Picard," but the series finale has faults. Terry Matalas did a wonderful job with the "Next Generation" tribute, although I feel that it was a little late. The lack of development on some plot threads and ideas left me wanting more. However, I must admit that the friendship between Riker and Worf was a highlight for me. While I'm looking forward to new avenues for "Star Trek," I had a good time with this season.

I liked the throwbacks and the ingenious usage of sound effects from various Trek iterations. However, I share the writer's dissatisfaction in the writer's failure to capitalize on some outstanding concepts. I'm conflicted about the notion of another legacy series - part of me wants it, while another half wants new ideas and storytelling. Let's see what the future holds for "Star Trek." The episode had some pretty unique ideas that weren't fully realized.

As a die-hard "Star Trek" fan, I can't deny how much pleasure I had watching the season 3 finale of "Picard," with its references to iconic episodes and characters. However, I understand the concerns about wasted chances and a lack of follow-through on specific components. While I'm open to the idea of a new heritage series, I'm also hoping that the franchise takes intriguing new turns. Let's hope for more daring storytelling in the future.
