Before there was Spider-Man or Batman there was Zorro, the original masked hero. He’s been around a long time and there’s still some debate about whether he’s public domain or not. We won’t get into that here, but we WILL tell you he’s the center of a new game coming this summer.
In Zorro: The Chronicles, from NACON, PVP GAMES and BKOM studios, you can control either Zorro or his sister Ines (he has a sister in this, by the way) as they slash, stab and poke at injustice. The game is half-platformer, half-brawler — you spend a lot of time leaping across building rooftops or pirate ship decks and the other half fighting pirates, corrupt officials and others. You have a sword, a whip, and acrobatic moves at your disposal. Also, you can throw a chicken at your enemies! It’s surprisingly effective.
Zorro: The Chronicles is based on the French animated series of the same name. Today we learned there’s a new Zorro cartoon somewhere.
Explore the game’s world with eye-catching visuals as breathtaking as in Zorro The Chronicles animated series. Enjoy fun and rewarding swashbuckling combat featuring hilarious yet spectacular finishing moves. Disarm your enemies with a whip, a sword, dazzling moves, and humour! Deflect their attacks with acrobatic moves and lightning-quick reflexes. Leave your mark on them with a ‘Z’ from the tip of your sword!
Watch for Zorro: The Chronicles when it arrives this June for Playstation 5, Playstation 4, Nintendo Switch, XBox One, XBox Series X/S and PC.
